Lush Life is a charismatic and exciting four piece jazz, blues, R & B and soul band based in the South East and London area.  They have recently performed at the prestigious WM Jazz Club at the O2 Arena in Greenwich and although they have just recently collaborated they are already gaining a reputation as an accomplished and talented band with a unique twist.

 

Lush Life comprises of four skilled and experienced musicians who have been regularly performing on the live arena both internationally and in the UK.

The combination of vocals/piano/sax/keyboards and drums create a dynamic and exciting blend of sound that is adaptable from smooth and sultry jazz to infectious dance grooves and party music suitable for any occasion.

 

Well known songs are creatively arranged to produce an exciting and unique version.

 

With only four members, Lush Life has a full and expansive sound thanks to the expertise and creativity of Viktor Kaputsin who orchestrates the arrangements on keyboards.

 

Sally Layne who skilfully plays the piano as she sings is able to play a wide variety of musical styles with her own special interpretation on well-known songs, from the elegance of Nina Simone to the gritty vibe of Tina Turner.

 

Red Brooks produces stunning and bold improvisations on sax and creates the most sublime tone. Her artistry adds the pizazz to Lush Life and is thrilling to hear.

 

David Dickson on the skins is talented and versatile and can play anything from Take Five to Virtual Insanity. He knits the rhythm together with ease and dexterity.

 

Lush Life has a varied repertoire which can be tailored to suit any event or occasion. An evening would typically comprise of three 45 minute sets beginning with some sophisticated jazz and blues building to an intoxicating party vibe that draws the audience on to the dance floor.
